Hello friends. It’s been a minute but I have an update for you! Today my story “Dying to Hike” has been published by Literally Stories.

The story is about a couple of hikers who get brutally murdered by a giant maniac on a mountain. Now, I’m sure that sounds like a horror story to you, but it’s actually a comedy. The real story focuses on the restless spirits of the recently deceased and how they bicker about their untimely demise.

The interesting thing about this story is that I wrote it in five minutes. Seriously. This is also the first story I remember ever going into with absolutely no idea of what I was going to write and having the words pour out of me immediately.

When I wrote this I was waiting for my wife to get dressed so we could go run some errands. Figuring I had maybe ten minutes, I sat down with the plan to write anything that came to me. I had no previously conceived ideas or thoughts about the story, I just started typing. After I finished, I did one quick editing pass and sent it to the first place I could find. And much to my surprise, they liked it!
