I’m pleased to announce that my story “In Entered The Grifter” has been published in Halloweenthology: All Hallows’ Eve by Wicked Shadow Press. You can purchase a copy now from Lulu.

Those following my site might recognize this story from the free-to-read short story section (no longer available). If you read it before, you might enjoy checking it out in this anthology, as I reworked it a good bit before submitting it to Wicked Soul Press. I’m really happy with the final version that got accepted for publication.
For those unfamiliar with the story, I wrote In Entered The Grifter many years ago as an homage to Stephen King’s incredible short story The Man in the Black Suit. While I ultimately didn’t do anything close to his story, I did create what I think turned out to be a superbly unsettling character in The Grifter, a “door-to-door- book salesman” who is out to make a different kind of deal.
While I kept this story relatively short (I think it only comes in around 10 pages or so in this collection), I would love to eventually revisit the Grifter character in a more fleshed-out tale. Especially now that I’m a much better writer than when I initially wrote this story. Regardless, the story still holds a special place in my heart and I’m super excited that it got picked up and shared with the world to see.
