Published in Who Let The GODS Out?! DIVINE WRATH

My story “Bog Hag” has been published for a second time! Originally published in HorrorScope Volume 4, it is now available in the horror anthology “Who Let The GODS Out?! DIVINE WRATH,” put out by Wicked Shadow Press.

From the write-up about HorrorScope Volume 4.

Bog Hag is my first real foray into writing dark fantasy. Not having read much contemporary fantasy, I went into this story with what I think is a unique style. It’s more lyrical than the stories I usually write because I was partially inspired by the epic poems I’ve been reading throughout the year.

I originally planned on writing a gothic tale with a memorable villain on par with The Headless Horseman from Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Unfortunately, HorrorScope’s word limit (5,000 words) proved too limiting for the story I wanted to tell. So I decided on something different.

Utilizing what I know of ancient Irish history and its folklore, I ended up creating my own Celtic mythology. Again, the word limit was tricky, as was coming up with a Saggitarius-themed Celtic story, but I’m completely happy with how the story turned out. I think it’s one of the better things I’ve written. But I guess that’s for you folks to decide!
