My story “Desolation of the Wendigo” has been published in Dark Descent: Whispers From Beyond by Dark Holme Publishing.
This is the second story I’ve had published by Dark Holme Publishing, and I love the work they’re releasing. I don’t remember when I initially wrote “Desolation of the Wendigo.” I’m not even sure what inspired it. Though I think the idea is fairly original.
My story is about what would happen if a Wendigo, a malevolent mountain spirit that essentially consumes people, had its territory reduced to ashes by wildfires. I do remember going through this story and reworking it before submitting it. Despite only being a flash fiction piece, this has always been one of my personal favorites.
