Published in Diabolic Press: Issue One

UPDATE:

Diabolic Press Issue One is now officially available for purchase at Rad Publishing.

My story “The Death Loop” has been published in the first issue of Diabolic Press. I wish I could share a release date or link to where you can buy the issue (the above link takes you to Diabolic Press’ Instagram page), but as of now, I haven’t been given any information. I received my contributor copy a few weeks ago, so I can confirm that the issue does indeed exist! I also read all the stories and poems in it and they are really good, which adds to my frustration that the general public isn’t able to read it right now. Regardless, here’s a quick promo I made for my story:

My story in Diabolic Press #1, The Death Loop, is loosely based on my life when I was 18 and going through a particularly rough bout of depression. Most of the story is true, other than the one major event that takes place, which is a gruesome play on time loops.

The character in my story, overcome by his depression, decides to end his life. But in doing so (in very graphic detail), finds that he has gotten stuck in a time loop right at the point of no return, effectively making it so he is forced to relive an extremely violent and painful death, over and over again. If you get the chance to read my story, and I may eventually publish it here once the rights revert back to me, I must warn you that it comes with a strong trigger warning.

Below, I have added some photos of the magazine. I think the book looks great aesthetically and I hope that more issues will be announced in the future. I believe if you message the creator of Diabolic Press, Mitch Green, on Instagram, you can buy a copy directly from him. If there is any official announcement made about the magazine’s release, I’ll let everyone know.
